Wildcats touch down in Japan ahead of historic series

The Wildcats trained in Nagoya, where they will spend the first half of their Japan trip, on Wednesday afternoon ahead of Friday's clash against Nagoya Diamond Dolphins.

Former first-round NBA draft pick Dylan Windler and exciting Spanish Next Star Izan Almansa are both expected to make their Wildcats debut during the tour.

Windler only signed with Perth last week and arrived in Australia on Sunday, while Almansa missed last week's 2-0 series win over NBL1 West Select due to a minor hip issue.

The Wildcats will play a trio of games against B-League outfits, starting with the Diamond Dolphins, coached by former assistant Shawn Dennis.

Game two is another exciting encounter against Chiba Jets on Monday, from 1pm WST.

Legendary former Wildcats coach Trevor Gleeson recently signed as Jets head coach, and gun ex-import John Mooney has been there since his club MVP-winning season for Perth.

Japanese former NBA star Yuta Watanabe is another big name on the Jets' roster.

The tour wraps up on Wednesday 4 September against Yokohama B-Corsairs from 11am.

All three games are set to be streamed across the Wildcats' channels, with further streaming details to be provided in the coming days once confirmed.
