Summary
The Perth Wildcats absolutely shot the lights out in their first road game of NBL23. Milestone man Todd Blanchfield dropped four three-pointers in the first quarter, finishing with five threes overall, while Jesse Wagstaff managed four threes coming off the bench. The Wildcats finished with 18 three-pointers for the game, the most threes scored in an away game in club history. It was also the first time Perth have scored 100+ point in Cairns since 2008. After trailing by 1 point after the first quarter, the Wildcats put their foot on the pedal and overran the Taipans, getting the lead out to 30 points throughout the game.

John Rillie on how he thought the game went.
"As you've seen from us in the pre-season, we had different guys injured at different times, that was no different to tonight and everyone stepped up and as you saw, statistically, we had a lot of contributors across the board, it was all about our mentality and how we wanted to approach it."
Todd Blanchfield on celebrating his 350th game with a win.
"I'm very fortunate to see 350 games in this league, it's a very good league and to see where it was, to where it is now, it's pretty special to be a part of."
