Doolittle amassed a 27-point, 13-rebound double-double to nearly drag Bayamon over the line against Mets de Guaynabo on Tuesday.
It was Doolittle’s second 27-point game in a row in a promising sign ahead of his NBL25 campaign with the Wildcats.
Michael Harris hit an equal game-high 31 points to go with six assists and three rebounds as Warwick thrashed Willetton 119-82 at Warwick Stadium on Friday night.
It was his 10th game in a row with 20-plus points, taking his season average to 27.35 which is the second highest in the competition.
David Okwera also impressed in the NBL1 West, posting his ninth double-double of the season as East Perth Eagles moved a step closer to finals action with a 106-93 win over Perry Lakes on Saturday.
Okwera had a whopping 15 rebounds to go with 12 points and seven assists in a strong performance.
New Zealander Hyrum Harris enjoyed his best game since returning from a knee injury, finishing with 16 points, six rebounds, five assists and three steals in Wellington’s 100-94 win over Tauranga Whai on Wednesday.
After being sidelined for more than a month, Harris made his comeback in his team’s win over Otago on June 29 on limited minutes, but increased his playing time and impact against the Whai.
He hit 60 per cent from the field and two from two from outside the arc.
Elsewhere in the New Zealand Basketball League, big man Jack Andrew was the Nuggets’ lone Wildcats representative as they returned to the winners’ list with a hard-fought road 88-79 victory over Nelson on Friday.
The bulked-up Andrew made his presence felt with 13 points and eight rebounds.
