The Perth Wildcats have won their last two on the road, taking down ladder-leading New Zealand on their home court, before defeating Adelaide on Friday night at Adelaide Entertainment Centre. After a rollercoaster start to the season, the Cats are finally seeing some consistency and will be looking to keep their current form rolling on Monday night. Melbourne come into this game following a big 104-88 win over the Brisbane Bullets on Saturday night and will be wanting to hold on to that momentum.
Pre-game words
John Rillie on the match-up with Melbourne United.
“We have been competing better, more consistently, for longer periods of time,” he said.
“If we don’t compete against Melbourne, they’ve spanked our butts this year, because they’ve been the more aggressive and physical team.
“If we don’t bring that, they’ll beat us again, so we better bring that physicality, the emotion, we’re playing with a little bit of emotion right now and have a bit more confidence about ourselves, but we can’t rest.”
