Context
Tuesday’s game will give Perth Wildcats an opportunity to extend their winning streak to 5 games when they take on Brisbane Bullets at Nissan Arena. Wildcats have been on an impressive run, coming off a big 105-83 win over the Cairns Taipans last Tuesday night. Sitting ninth on the NBL standings, Bullets come into this game desperate for a win. They beat the Wildcats only a few rounds ago, which will no doubt instil confidence that they will be able to do it again. They come off a significant 77-104 defeat at the hands of SEM Phoenix and will be looking to make amends.
Pre-game words
Bryce Cotton on the match-up with Brisbane Bullets.
“We definitely didn’t play our best basketball against them (last time),” he said.
“At this point in the season anyway, every game is a must win, but that does add a little bit of incentive to make sure we really put our best foot forward.”
Roster Availability
Corey Shervill (illness) will not suit to face the Bullets, he will be replaced in the line-up by Michael Harris.
Opponents to watch out for
Nathan Sobey continues to shine for the Bullets despite the team’s win-loss record. He comes into this match-up on the back of a 31-point game in the Bullet’s loss to SEM Phoenix.
Last time they met
The Perth Wildcats last faced Brisbane Bullets in Round 9, with Bullets coming away with a 106-95 win at Nissan Arena. Bryce Cotton managed a game-high 30 points, Brady Manek finished with 17 points. Nathan Sobey was the Bullet’s best, finishing with 28 points.
