The Tall Blacks need to win the six-team qualifying tournament to secure their spot in Paris.
Harris is one of nine NBL24 representatives to make the extended 19-player squad alongside Flynn Cameron, Finn Delany, Tyrell Harrison, Shea Ili, Izayah Le’Afa, Reuben Te Rangi, Tom Vodanovich and Sam Waardenburg.
New Zealand take on Finland and Poland in the lead up to the tournament before cutting their squad to 12.
Greece, Slovenia, Croatia, Egypt and the Dominican Republic will also take part in the competition from July 2-7.
Croatia and Slovenia are in the Tall Blacks’ group, meaning they could go up against Dallas Mavericks’ Slovenian superstar Luca Doncic.
It's not the first time Harris has represented his country after he featured in last year's FIBA World Cup in Manila.
Harris was a revelation in his debut season as a Wildcat, helping his team bounce back from a horror start to their NBL24 campaign and reach play-offs.
The 204cm talent averaged 5.8 points, 3.8 points and 1.4 assists per game in NBL24.
Harris was one of the Wildcats’ best in his debut play-off series against Tasmania, averaging 10.3 points and 3.3 assists including 13 and three in the game one victory at RAC Arena.
He won the Wildcats’ Most Improved Player award in deserved recognition for his efforts.
