The Perth Wildcats will celebrate NBL Indigenous Round when they take on the Sydney Kings at RAC Arena on Thursday and there’s plenty of special game night performances to look forward to.
Upon doors opening, a smoking ceremony will take place around the RAC Arena court, led by Barry Winmar.
Fans will then be treated to a performance from internationally renowned musician and Noongar man Phil Walley-Stack and his band.
He will be joined by the One Big Voice Reconciliation Choir, featuring kids from Willandra Primary School Indigenous Choir and other Perth school singers
Before tip-off, a live Welcome to Country Ceremony will be performed by the man behind the Perth Wildcats Indigenous Round uniform, Dr Richard Walley OAM.
Dr Walley will be joined by Indigenous dancers and also give a Digeridoo performance.
Phil Walley-Stack will return at halftime, joined by Jamahl Ryder for an encore performance.
The Perth Wildcats players will also be wearing their stunning new Indigenous round uniform, which is available to purchase now, along with Indigenous Round polo shirts.
