New Perth Wildcats recruit John Mooney has landed in Perth and begun his two-weeks of hotel quarantine.
The Amrican was signed by the Wildcats in August, and with the delayed season now just two months from commencement, he's ready to lock in with his new team.

He told The West Australian he's very thankful to be in Perth.
โIโm fortunate to have this deal,โ he said.
โSome of my teammates in the States still havenโt found anything. Some of the guys are trying to find work and others went to Europe and then got put into lockdown.
โI know Western Australia has COVID under control. That is the point of this two weeks in quarantine. It will be a long process for me but the trade-off is once I get out, I have a normal life. Back in the States, things are a lot different. Iโm very happy to be able to do normal things.โ
While the power forward was brought in to fill the space left by Nick Kay, Mooney said he is capable of playing multiple roles.
โI feel comfortable playing the four or the five. I played both a lot in college,โ he said.
โWe experimented with a lot of different line-ups in college. Iโm very comfortable playing inside, mucking it up down low and grabbing boards.
โI feel like Iโm also versatile enough to step outside, shoot and handle the ball if need be.
โEarly on in my career I was more of an outside stretch forward. I would shoot the ball more from the perimeter but then I transitioned more to an inside presence in my senior year. Iโm ready to do whatever they need me to do.โ
