Perth Wildcats general manager of basketball operations Danny Mills has confirmed that Luke Travers will be playing for the Wildcats in 2022/23.
In an interview with The West Australian, Mills said the Cleveland Cavaliers intetnion has always been to send their second round draft pick back to Perth to develop for another season.
“Luke is contracted to us. He’s coming back. That’s done,” Mills told The West Australian.
“When teams are drafting, they’re looking for guys they can draft and then keep overseas to develop with a club like ours. That was definitely part of the draft process.
“Obviously, he played well at Summer League which was exciting for them and for us. But he’ll continue his development in Perth next year."
