Dontae Russo-Nance continued his fine form for the Manawatu Jets, finishing with 13 points, 6 rebounds, 3 assists and 3 steals in a strong win over the Franklin Bulls. The versatile guard continues to show he can impact games on both ends of the floor.
Over in Puerto Rico, Kristian Doolittle powered through a massive double-overtime win with 25 points, 13 rebounds and 6 assists for Gigantes de Carolina, before backing it up with 18 points in a rematch loss to Vaqueros. He rounded out the week with a solid display against Piratas, adding 8 boards and 6 assists to go with a block in another win.
Sunday Dech found his rhythm in Knox colours, producing back-to-back wins behind 17 points against Frankston and 21 in their win playing Waverley. He added 6 rebounds and 3 assists in both outings to cap off an efficient run of games.
Elijah Pepper once again put up big numbers for the Warwick Senators, posting 29 points, 7 rebounds and 6 assists against the Geraldton Buccaneers. Todd Withers added 14 points, 8 boards, and 4 defensive plays of his own in the same contest, continuing their strong on-court pairing despite the loss.
Hyrum Harris was a force on the glass for the Wellington Saints, averaging 8 rebounds over two games. He collected 11 points, 4 assists, 2 steals and a block against Whai, then followed up with 10 points and another 8 boards in a win over the Auckland Tuatara.
David Okwera posted solid numbers across two outings for the Franklin Bulls. He dropped 13 points, 5 rebounds and as many assists in a clash with the Jets, backing up a 9 point, 6 boards performance against Taranaki, where he also added 2 blocks.
In the NBL1 Central, Lat Mayen came just shy of a triple-double, delivering 22 points, 8 rebounds and 7 assists for West Adelaide. Despite the loss to North Adelaide, it was one of Mayen’s most complete performances of the year.
