Quarantine training bubble approved

The Perth Wildcats overnight received legislative approval from WA Police to train under strict protocols while completing 14 days of quarantine.
Wildcats players and coaches returned to Perth from Brisbane on Saturday night, with the approval of the WA Government, and as such are required to home quarantine until Sunday 24 January.
To allow training to take place, the club executed its Quarantine Training Plan. This was developed in conjunction with WA Police.
Only players and coaches currently in the quarantining group will be allowed in the restricted area – which is largely limited to the show courts at the Bendat Basketball Centre.
Strength and conditioning equipment has been moved into the show courts to allow the players to weight train without entering a second venue.
Players and coaches must wear a face mask while driving to the venue in a private vehicle, park in a designated, enclosed area and have their temperature checked before entering the venue.
All equipment will be sanitised before and after each session, while the entire area will be deep cleaned following each training session.
WA Police will conduct regular compliance inspections to ensure the detailed Quarantine Training Plan is being adhered to.
In addition to these conditions, the players and coaches are already operating under the NBL’s strict COVID Protocols.
The Perth Wildcats first game of the NBL 2020/21 Season takes place on their first day out of quarantine on Sunday 24 January, when they take on South East Melbourne at RAC Arena.
