The top NBA draft prospect has been a big reason behind the Wildcats’ six-game winning run, having an impact at both ends of the floor coming off the bench.
He scored 15 points and reeled in five boards in 16 minutes during Friday night's thrilling win over defending champs Sydney Kings.
Several pundits expect Sarr’s season to end early as he prepares for the 2024 NBA draft, but the 18-year-old said his goal was to make the NBL play-offs.
“Right now we are winning and my goal is to make the play-offs and get the furthest I can,” Sarr said.
“Even outside of the draft, it’s cool. I’m having fun out there and competing for something. It’s the first time in my life where I’m part of a league where I’m really trying to win something at the end. Outside of anything happening next year, I’m having fun playing every night here.
Top NBA draft prospect Alex Sarr opened up about his desire to feature in Perth Wildcats' post-season campaign, the team's winning run and what he's improved since joining the NBL.

“When I’m on the court, it’s fun. I love playing in The Jungle.”
Sarr’s draft stocks have soared since arriving in Perth, so much so, he was recently predicted to go at No.1.
The athletic French talent detailed the improvements in his game over the past few months, playing and training against men in the NBL.
“I’ve gotten stronger and with my stamina, I can play longer with a higher motor,” he said.
“There’s adjustments when you come to a pro game. I think practicing against all the guys, it gets me ready for the game. It’s not that much of a jump to me when I get into games because I’ve been practicing against even better players every day.”
The Wildcats face Illawarra at WIN Entertainment Centre on Friday night, aiming for a seventh win in a row.
