The Spanish Next Star impressed in his first game as a Wildcat, finishing with 11 points and some nice moments at both ends of the floor in the 117-53 win over Nagoya Diamond Dolphins on Friday.
It came after the highly-rated youngster missed the Wildcats' first two pre-season wins against NBL1 West Select last weekend with a minor hip issue.
"It was great, I had so much fun," Almansa said post-match in Nagoya.
"I think we had a great game and I'm so happy to play for the Wildcats.
"Last weekend I couldn't play so seeing those games from the bench, I don't like that so I'm so happy to play today finally.
"I was frustrated (to not play last weekend) but I know that was the best for me."
Wildcats head coach John Rillie praised Almansa on his attitude and work ethic since arriving in Perth last month.
“It’s those things and his willingness to join our group with the right attitude and mentality,” Rillie said.
“His work ethic has been very good so far. He understands he needs to improve in certain areas if he wants to get to the level that he is capable of. It was very good for him to start in that way.”
Almansa is excited about the direction the Wildcats are heading ahead of the NBL25 season after a third win from as many starts in the pre-season.
"I think we did a great job offensively and defensively and I think we're working in the right direction," he said.
The Wildcats' next assignment is against Chiba Jets, coached by legendary Wildcats coach Trevor Gleeson, on Monday.
All three games of the Wildcats' tour of Japan will be streamed live and free on our App and YouTube channels.
