Wildcats and Tyrepower Powering Basketball Connections

Since first partnering prior to 2020, the relationship has grown steadily alongside the game in WA, becoming a familiar part of the Wildcats environment and the broader basketball landscape across the state.
That connection is shaped by Tyrepower’s WA member network, made up of locally owned stores operating across metropolitan and regional areas. The partnership provides a practical way for Tyrepower to stay connected with basketball fans, reflecting its footprint and the communities in which its members operate.
For the Perth Wildcats, the partnership supports engagement beyond the professional level and contributes to the overall game-day experience.
A key part of the collaboration is the Tyrepower Half Time Heroes, a Red Army fan favourite that invites community basketball associations to take part in halftime games at Wildcats home fixtures throughout the season at RAC Arena.
For junior players, the opportunity to step onto the same court as their favourite Wildcats stars is a memorable game-night experience. Families and local associations are also brought into the match-day environment, helping strengthen the connection between grassroots participation and the elite level.
The activation allows Tyrepower to be involved in the sport in a way that feels natural and participation-focused, while helping the Wildcats maintain strong relationships with local associations and the broader basketball pathway.
The partnership also sits within Tyrepower’s wider involvement in Australian sport, including the NBL, AFL, NRL and Supercars. Within that broader portfolio, the Wildcats collaboration reflects a distinctly local approach, shaped for Western Australian audiences and the state’s strong basketball culture.
As the partnership continues, the Perth Wildcats and Tyrepower remain closely connected through their shared involvement in the game, supporting participation and engagement across the basketball community.
