The home side started slow but managed to close the gap to just 5 points and quarter time. The brilliance of Bryce Cotton kept the Wildcats within reach, assisted by the hand of Brady Manek, who finished with three three-pointers. Xavier Rathan-Mayes stood out for Melbourne, finishing with 17 points and 11 rebounds, while Isaac Humphries managed 17 points and 10 rebounds.
