The Otago Nuggets had a double-header over the weekend, facing the Taranaki Airs and the Manawatu Jets.
While the side wasn’t able to get the win in the first of the two matches, they managed to break their losing streak in the second with a win over the Manawatu Jets.
Ben Henshall performed strongly in both, finishing with 31 points, six rebounds, four assists and two steals on Friday Night.
He then recorded 17 points, seven rebounds, five assists and two steals on Sunday to help steer his side to the win.
Dontae Russo-Nance contributed well across these two games also, finishing with 13 points, seven rebounds, four assists and four steals in the first match, before putting up 17 points, four rebounds, six assists and one steal in the second.
Jack Andrew showed his defensive prowess across the two matches, collecting six blocks throughout.
He also showed off his hops, throwing down a massive poster dunk over an Airs player after collecting a loose ball.
He wasn’t the only player to hit the highlights with a poster, after Michael Harris threw down an insane tomahawk dunk in the NBL1 West on Friday.
He put up 35 points, three rebounds and two assists in a close loss to the Eastern Suns.
David Okwera was just one rebound shy of recording a double-double in the same competition with a 10 point, nine rebound outing on Friday night as East Perth defeated the Perth Redbacks.
In Puerto Rico, Kristian Doolittle had just one match where he collected 12 points and six rebounds.
