Highly touted Perth Wildcats development prospect Luke Travers showed out in the Cockburn Cougars win over Lakeside in the SBL’s West Coast Classic tournament at the weekend.
Travers put up a monster stat line of 20 points, 16 rebounds, six assists and three steals while shooting the ball at 69 per cent and connecting on two of five triples.
The performance sees him move into the league’s top-three rebounders for the season.
Fellow Wildcat Wani Swaka Lo Buluk and the Warwick Senators defeated the Joondalup Wolves to move into third in the standings.
Swaka Lo Buluk had 13 points, eight rebounds and four assists.
Former Wildcats development player Lochlan Cummings had 15 for the Wolves.
Meanwhile Chuatwech Reath’s East Perth Eagles fell to the Perth Redbacks, with Reath scoring six points in limited minutes.
