After touching down on Sunday morning, the Wildcats hit the courts at University of Nevada, Las Vegas - home of the Runnin' Rebels - in the afternoon for their first session on American soil since 2018.
The entire squad, minus Hyrum Harris who is expected to arrive on Monday after being a part of New Zealand’s FIBA World Cup team in Japan, featured in the light shooting and gym session.
Wednesday’s clash at Dollar Loan Center will be the Wildcats' third of the pre-season after a pair of wins over NBL1 West Select in Rockingham and Warwick respectively.
Perth, which hasn't toured the US since taking on Utah Jazz and Denver Nuggets five years ago, becomes the first Australian side to take on the NBA G-League Ignite.
As many as 200 NBA scouts are predicted to descend on Las Vegas for the series to catch a glimpse of Wildcats’ top-10 prospect Alex Sarr and highly-rated Ignite talents Matas Buzelis and Ron Holland in action.
Sarr, a 216cm centre/forward from France, is in his first season in the NBL and is Perth’s inaugural Next Stars signing.
The Wildcats will spend eight days in Las Vegas, finishing off with a closed scrimmage against the Overtime Elite, before flying to the Gold Coast for the annual NBL Blitz pre-season tournament.
The regular season kicks off with a home clash against Tasmania JackJumpers at RAC Arena on September 29.
