The Perth Wildcats are incredibly proud to announce that this season’s Ignite Cup clash against the Brisbane Bullets on Wednesday, October 15 will be the official Perth Wildcats Ignite Cup Game, presented by NRW, proudly supporting Telethon.
This special game provides the Red Army with an opportunity to unite behind a great cause, as the club joins forces with NRW to raise funds for Telethon.
Telethon Weekend returns on 18 and 19 October, live from RAC Arena. The 26-hour broadcast will air on Channel 7 and 7plus, showcasing inspiring stories, special guests and the incredible generosity of Western Australians.
Telethon is a beloved WA institution that has been helping sick, vulnerable and disadvantaged children and their families for more than 50 years.
Every donation to Telethon helps fund vital services, medical research, equipment and support programs for WA children and their families.

Fundraising will be at the heart of the Perth Wildcats Ignite Cup Game, presented by NRW. Every ticket purchased will directly contribute to Telethon, ensuring that simply turning up and cheering for the team makes a difference.
After the final buzzer, fans will have the chance to bid on the jerseys worn by the players, turning treasured memorabilia into vital support for WA kids and families.
Throughout the night, volunteers will be out in force with their tins, inviting the Red Army to dig deep and show their generosity.
Adding to the occasion, long-term partner NRW is donating $100 for every point scored by the Wildcats, turning every basket into another step towards life-changing impact.
Perth Wildcats Owner Mark Arena said Telethon is a legacy the Wildcats are genuinely proud to be part of, “Telethon means so much to Western Australians and like many, I’ve seen firsthand the difference it makes for kids and families who need it most.
“To have the Wildcats contribute to that legacy is something we’re genuinely proud of. We’re also grateful to NRW, not only for presenting this game but for their commitment to donate $100 for every point we score.
“It’s a powerful reminder that when sport and community come together, we can achieve something far bigger than the game itself.”
This match is also part of the brand new Ignite Cup, an in-season NBL tournament designed to bring extra excitement to Wednesday night basketball.
The Ignite Cup will see every team take part in four Wednesday night games, split evenly between home and away.
What makes the competition unique is that each result will count twice, both toward the regular season standings and the Ignite Cup ladder.
Points are awarded not only for winning games but also for winning individual quarters, adding extra intensity to every moment on court.
At the end of the tournament, the top two teams will face off in a standalone Grand Final in February 2026, with record prize money up for grabs.
With every quarter crucial for championship points, this contest is set to be both entertaining and meaningful.
Tickets for the Perth Wildcats Ignite Cup Game, presented by NRW, proudly supporting Telethon are on sale now.
Please note: this game is not included in Wildcats season memberships. Members will need to purchase a ticket to attend and support this worthy cause.
Join us at RAC Arena on Wednesday, October 15, to cheer on the Wildcats, support Telethon, and help make a difference for WA kids and families.
